Golfing
Golf at Kohler’s world-class Blackwolf Run, Whistling Straits, and many other golf courses within a 15-mile range including Elkhart Lake’s Quit Qui Oc or Sir Lanserlot courses. And there is also Tom and Jerry’s Mini Golf in Plymouth.
Hiking/Biking/Fishing
Hike/bike the nearby Kettle Moraine State Forest (Northern Unit) which stretches 30 miles across Sheboygan, Fond du Lac and Washington Counties. Explore the Old Plank Road State Trail, a 17-mile paved bike trail that runs along Hwy 23 extending from Sheboygan through Plymouth and on to Greenbush. Or, explore our own 25-acre backyard which includes our private, entirely enclosed 5-acre lake. You may fish the lake which is stocked with hybrid bluegills, small-mouth bass, and yellowfin, or fish nearby Sheboygan Marsh, Elkhart Lake or Little Elkhart Lake. Hunting is not permitted at Crystal Lake Lodge.
Winter Fun
Greenbush offers several excellent x-country ski trails within 4 miles that are lit for night skiing adventures. Or, drive east 15 miles to Sheboygan and ski the trails at Kohler Andrae State Park or Maywood Park.
Museums/Arts/Theater/Music
Expand your horizons with a bit of culture at the Plymouth Arts Center and Sheboygan’s Stephanie Weill Center and John Michael Kohler Arts Center. The world’s largest music festival, Milwaukee’s Summerfest, is an 11-day music extravaganza. It is located just an hour away from Crystal Lake Lodge. Milwaukee also boasts the Milwaukee Public Museum, the Milwaukee Art Museum, the Harley-Davidson Museum, Miller Park (home of the Brewers), the Pabst Mansion, Betty Brin Children’s Museum, and the Milwaukee County Zoo. The world-famous EAA AirVenture at Oshkosh (45 miles away). Visit historic Wade House in nearby Greenbush and see a community where Yankee refinement met Wisconsin wilderness. Two civil war battles with 500 re-enactors.
Racing
Road America’s Main Gate is located 5 minutes away. Check out the local stock car racing at the Sheboygan Fairgrounds in Plymouth.
